Welcome to Holimade

Hi there I’m so glad you’re here. Holimade is my little corner of the internet where I share our travel stories, packing tips that actually work, and the kind of honest advice you only get from real-life experiences on the road. Over the years, I’ve learned that whether you’re planning a big family trip, a fun weekend with friends, or a solo getaway to recharge, every journey comes with its own rhythm and its own challenges. That’s where I come in. I’m here to help make the whole process feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more enjoyable.

You see, travel has always been something I’ve loved — not just the going, but the planning too. There’s something really satisfying about pulling all the pieces together and creating an experience that feels just right.

So here on Holimade, you’ll find travel guides, destination inspiration, and personalised itineraries for families, couples, solo adventurers, and everyone in between. Whoever you’re travelling with (or without!), I hope you find something here that helps you plan a trip you’ll always remember.

Hi, I’m Marianna!

Marianna holimade travel

I’m Greek, originally from Thessaloniki. I moved to Spain for my Master’s degree and ended up staying for over ten years. Somewhere along the way, I met my husband Tim in Gibraltar — he’s British — and now we live in the Netherlands with our children.

Travel has always been part of my life — sometimes with my family, other times with friends, or just on my own. I love it all. And I especially enjoy the planning: researching places, finding hidden gems, and putting together itineraries that actually work — whether you’re travelling with kids or flying solo.

That’s what led me to start Holimade. It’s a space where I can share what I’ve learned, inspire others, and help take some of the stress out of planning your next great adventure.
